Today marks the one month point.
I'm busily making graduation invitations for you all. Hand designed and hand-made. Whew.
I'm going to try and catch everyone up to the semester so far:
I finished my comprehensive exams for the Classics degree before the start of this semester. Then I finished my thesis for Philosophy in early February at which time I also presented it. My thesis was "Modality in Four Categories" and in it I built a modality for an ontology recently advocated by E. J. Lowe. I received a high pass on it.
A couple weeks ago I finished off my comprehensives for Philosophy. I received a high pass on those as well. Now I just have to finish up my classics thesis (Translation, commentary and analysis of Aristotle on metaphor in Rhetoric III.2-4.) and pass my classes and I'm set.
I also found out today that I was nominated for the Cardinal Spellman award and the Ann Heller Maberry award and am eligible for the Hellen Corbitt prize. Those awards will be announced at commencement.
I am realizing as I write this that I have a lot to do in the next few weeks as classes wind down.
I'll try to keep this up to date.
