Dear all,

I'm so sorry I haven't been updating. Everything has been very crazy around here.
I'm tying up the loose ends of the two publications I design (one's a poetry chapbook and one's a scholarly journal) as well as handing over the reigns of the newspaper to my successor.
Tomorrow is actually our closing party for the newspaper--we're having a nice little brunch at my place--complete with mimosas! (I actually have to go clean my apartment after I finish this.)
I just finished up one of the last two papers I have to write before I graduate. Only one more paper to go and then no more writing.
I also just finished up a rough draft of the speech I'm giving at convocation. I think I'll post a copy of it up here for all of you who won't be there.
Perhaps I should back up a little...This past week I was elected by my classmates to be their Valedictorian. This entails giving two speeches: one at convocation and one at commencement. Convocation is this Thursday and Commencement is May 17. I'm deeply honored and humbled to have been chosen and am so excited to gush (articulately) about our class and the faculty and UD.
On the job front, I have a promising interview with a school in Shiner, TX. Yes, home of Shiner Bock. My father is tickled beyond coherent speech (he already has designs of my marrying into the Shiner family). I will let you all know about that soon too.
Everything is moving very quickly and the most difficult part is knowing that its quickly coming to an end. But God has good things in store for me, I know He does.
